The political atmosphere in Agege Local Government Area is heating up as Hon. Taiwo Olasunkanmi Samuel, popularly known as TOS, officially declared his intention to contest for the Executive Chairman seat in the upcoming local government elections.

On Tuesday, TOS took a significant step in his political journey by picking up the chairmanship nomination form at the Lagos State Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), located on Acme Road, Ikeja. The event witnessed a large turnout of party faithful, supporters, community leaders, and stakeholders who came out to show their support.


Addressing the press shortly after collecting his nomination form, Hon. Olasunkanmi expressed his readiness to fully engage in the electioneering process. “Picking this nomination form today is a public declaration of my commitment to serve the people of Agege as their Executive Chairman. By God’s grace, this is the first step towards victory,” he said.

Highlighting his vision for Agege, TOS outlined a robust agenda that focuses on infrastructure development, youth empowerment, healthcare, and education. “As an educationist, the future of our children is paramount. I want to ensure that every ward in Agege feels the impact of good governance. My administration will prioritize inclusiveness and security across all communities,” he emphasized.


Responding to questions on his qualifications and ties to the community, TOS proudly affirmed his deep-rooted connection to Agege. “I am a true son of the soil. I was born in Gbogunleri, Isale-Oja, Agege. I attended Central Primary School, Oniwaya and Anwar-ul-Islam College, Agege where I completed my WASSCE in 1993. I went on to earn both OND and HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (Telecommunications) from Yaba College of Technology. I know this community, and I’m prepared to serve it.”

As the race for the Agege LGA chairmanship gathers momentum, Hon. Taiwo Olasunkanmi’s candidacy continues to draw attention, setting the stage for what promises to be a keenly contested election.
