As Nigeria marks the 26th anniversary of its return to democratic governance, the Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mayor Dele Oshinowo, has called on Nigerians to recommit themselves to the core values of justice, liberty, and equality.

In a message released to commemorate Democracy Day, Mayor Oshinowo described the day as one of pride and reflection for all Nigerians. He emphasized the importance of unity and collective purpose in building a prosperous and inclusive nation.

“Today, we commemorate a day that holds great significance and pride for our vibrant Nigerian community,” he stated. “As the Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, I am deeply honored to lead a community that upholds the principles of democracy—transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness.”

The Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to addressing residents’ needs, empowering the youth, and fostering equal opportunities across all communities in Agboyi-Ketu.

Reflecting on the nation’s democratic journey, Oshinowo urged citizens to continue working together in unity to uphold democratic values and ensure sustainable national development.

“Let us renew our commitment to the ideals that define us as a people. Regardless of our ethnicity, faith, or background, we must come together to build a harmonious and prosperous future for all Nigerians,” he said.

Mayor Oshinowo concluded by wishing all citizens a Happy Democracy Day, expressing hope for continued progress and prosperity for Nigeria in the years ahead.
