The Association for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities of Nigeria (AIDDN) has honoured the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, in recognition of his leadership and contributions to inclusive governance.
Led by its President, Mrs. Dapo Omotola, the association paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Olowa on Tuesday to congratulate him on his re-election for a second term and his emergence as Chairman of Conference 57 League of Chairmen in Lagos State.
Receiving the delegation, Hon. Olowa expressed delight at the visit, commending AIDDN for its advocacy and commitment to the welfare of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He described persons living with disabilities as “geniuses in their own right,” noting that many have excelled in their chosen fields.
The council boss further assured the group of his administration’s unwavering support, pledging to create more opportunities for inclusion and empowerment within Ibeju-Lekki.
