LASU Epe Campus Gets Landmark Olatunji Bello Auditorium, Olowa Commends Sanwo-Olu

The Lagos State University (LASU), Epe Campus, has recorded another milestone with the commissioning of the Olatunji Bello Auditorium, a project expected to enhance academic, cultural, and intellectual engagements in the institution.

The newly completed edifice was formally inaugurated on Tuesday by Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu at a colourful ceremony attended by dignitaries from across the state, including the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa.

Hon. Olowa, who joined the gathering of political leaders, technocrats, and traditional rulers, described the project as a bold statement on the administration’s commitment to the growth of education and infrastructural development. He noted that the facility would not only strengthen learning at LASU but also provide a rallying point for community engagement in the Epe Division.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, while performing the official commissioning, restated his government’s resolve to continually invest in infrastructure that supports quality education in Lagos State.

Among the dignitaries at the event were Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat; Minister of State for Health, Dr. Moruf Olatunji Alausa; former Ogun State Governor, Aremo Olusegun Osoba; Lagos APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi; and former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji.

Also present were royal fathers including the Oloja of Epe, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun; the Alara of Ilara, Oba Olufolarin Ogunsanwo; and the Ojomu of Lakowe, Oba Olufemi Adebowale.

The Olatunji Bello Auditorium is expected to further elevate LASU’s profile as a leading citadel of learning in Nigeria.
