LASCOCO Provost Applauds Olowa’s Youth Empowerment Drive

The Provost of the Lagos State Cooperative College (LASCOCO), Dr. Adebosin Walid, has praised the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, for his commitment to youth development in the area.

Dr. Walid gave the commendation on Monday during a courtesy visit to the council secretariat, where he was received alongside the former Provost of the institution, Dr. Akorede Ojomu, by the Council Manager, Mr. Abiodun Oladipupo Otinwa.

He lauded Hon. Olowa for sponsoring students of Ibeju-Lekki to LASCOCO, noting that the local government’s full coverage of tuition, hostel accommodation, and upkeep allowances has enabled young people to concentrate on acquiring critical cooperative and entrepreneurial skills.

According to him, the initiative is equipping youths with the knowledge and tools needed to access jobs, explore entrepreneurship, and compete favorably in the global economy.

The visit also coincided with Hon. Olowa’s re-election for a second term in office. Both LASCOCO and the council leadership used the occasion to reaffirm their partnership in advancing skill acquisition and creating opportunities for young people in Ibeju-Lekki.
