 NDLEA Lagos Commander Visits Checkers Africa, Seeks Stronger Collaboration



The Lagos State Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), CN Abubakar Liman Wali, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, led some members of his management team on a courtesy visit to Checkers Africa Limited.

The visit was aimed at appreciating the company’s support and collaboration during the 2025 United Nations International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, which was held at Lagos State University, Ojo.

Speaking during the visit, the NDLEA State Commander commended Checkers Africa for its partnership and urged for continued synergy in the ongoing War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) campaign. He also stressed the importance of capacity building and corporate involvement in the fight against drug abuse.

In his response, the Managing Director of Checkers Africa Limited, represented by the Head of Marketing, Mr. Timothy Ogundele, expressed gratitude for the recognition. He assured that the company remains committed to supporting NDLEA’s initiatives through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes whenever the need arises.

The visit ended with an exchange of pleasantries and renewed commitment to deepen collaboration between both parties.
