NIMASA Promotes Nine Directors, 234 Other Staff
The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has announced the promotion of nine Deputy Directors to the rank of Director, alongside 234 other staff across various levels, in what the agency described as a merit-based exercise aimed at boosting staff morale and productivity.
The Governing Board approved the elevation of 30 Assistant Directors to Deputy Directors, 35 Chief Officers to Assistant Directors, and ratified the promotion of 169 other staff members to higher grade levels.
Those promoted to Director include Mrs. Moji Jimoh, Coordinator of the Abuja Liaison Office; Dr. Odunayo Ani, Director of Internal Audit; Mrs. Nneka Obianyor, Special Adviser to the Director General; Mrs. Biodun Fatade, Director of Procurement; Dr. Oma Ofodile; Ms. Gloria Anyasodo; Mr. Abdulahi Yelwa; Umar Buba; and Mr. Umar Ibrahim Sidi.
Congratulating the beneficiaries, the Director General of NIMASA, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, emphasized that the promotions reflect management’s commitment to transparency, meritocracy, and staff welfare.
“Our administration is committed to improved staff welfare. This promotion exercise is strictly merit-based, and we expect staff to reciprocate by rededicating themselves to higher productivity. We will continue to prioritize staff welfare, while counting on your commitment to the ideals of the Agency in helping Management actualize its mandate,” Mobereola said.
He urged the newly elevated officers to see their promotion as motivation for higher performance and to recommit themselves to excellence in service delivery.
