Rite Foods Marks International Youth Day, Reaffirms Commitment to Creativity, Innovation, and Youth Empowerment

Rite Foods Limited, Nigeria’s leading food and beverage company, has joined the global community in commemorating International Youth Day (IYD) 2025, themed “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond.”

The company, renowned for its strong youth-focused initiatives, reaffirmed its dedication to empowering young Nigerians through platforms that inspire innovation, creativity, and excellence.

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Seleem Adegunwa, said the company recognises the crucial role young people play in driving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the community level.

“Our initiatives — from sporting events like the Ijebu Heritage Half Marathon, to automotive youth engagement through Fanfaro and TOR’Q Autofest, and musical talent discovery via our five-season sponsorship of Nigerian Idol — reflect our belief in the transformative power of youth,” Adegunwa stated. “These platforms don’t just entertain; they equip young Nigerians with mentorship, exposure, and life-changing opportunities.”

Rite Foods also invests in capacity-building programmes that enhance productivity and creativity within its workforce and across Nigeria’s youth community, contributing to socio-economic growth.

The brand’s track record of excellence was recently recognised when it won the Food Company of the Year 2024 award at the Independent Media Awards. Its diverse product portfolio includes 13 Bigi Carbonated Soft Drink variants, Bigi Premium Drinking Water, Sosa Fruit Drink in five flavours, the iconic Fearless Energy Drink, and Rite Spicy Beef and Bigi Beef Sausage Rolls — all produced with world-class technology and uncompromising quality.
