Ibeju-Lekki Chairman, Olowa, Hails First Lady Oluremi Tinubu at 65

The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Chairman of Conference 57, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has joined millions of Nigerians in celebrating the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the occasion of her 65th birthday.

In a goodwill message, Hon. Olowa described Senator Tinubu as “a woman of uncommon service and grace” whose journey from education to politics and national service continues to inspire millions across Nigeria and beyond.

He recalled her contributions as First Lady of Lagos State, her distinguished tenure as a three-term senator representing Lagos Central, and her present role as Nigeria’s First Lady, noting that she has carried the torch of leadership with humility, courage, and unwavering faith.

Olowa highlighted Senator Tinubu’s numerous humanitarian and empowerment programmes, including scholarships for young people, skills acquisition initiatives, widows’ and traders’ empowerment schemes, as well as support for the elderly. He also praised her legacy through the New Era Foundation, which produced initiatives such as the Lagos Spelling Bee, the “One-Day Governor” experience, and the establishment of the Alternative High School for Girls.

The Ibeju-Lekki Chairman further pointed out her global impact, citing her donation of a school in Liberia and the establishment of a women’s training centre in Senegal. He commended her legislative record in the Senate, especially her advocacy for state policing, postal reform, and institutional strengthening, which earned her recognition as one of Nigeria’s most impactful female leaders.

“Senator Tinubu has remained a strong advocate for modesty, family values, and cultural pride, inspiring younger generations to embrace their Nigerian identity with confidence. Her service as a public servant and pastor continues to strengthen the moral fabric of our society,” Olowa said.

On behalf of the people of Ibeju-Lekki and the Conference 57 Local Government Chairmen in Lagos State, Hon. Olowa prayed for long life, good health, renewed strength, and divine wisdom for the First Lady as she continues to nurture the nation with compassion and purpose.
