Aroyewun upgrades Baiyeku Health Centre, inspects progress of ongoing projects

........Council boss reaffirms commitment to quality healthcare under GLORY Agenda

The Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has commenced a major upgrade of the Baiyeku Primary Health Centre, as part of his administration’s drive to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve public health infrastructure across the council area.

The ongoing improvement project, which is being executed by Komad Creative Enterprise and supervised by the Works and Infrastructure Department of the council, includes the construction of a new three-bedroom office complex to enhance administrative operations, as well as the reconstruction of the Environmental and Joint Task Force Office within the health facility.

According to the supervising engineer, Mr. Adeniyi Oladunni, the project is progressing as scheduled and is expected to be completed within one month.

During an inspection visit to the site on Thursday, October 9, 2025, Chairman Aroyewun expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, commending the contractor and supervising engineers for their professionalism and dedication.

“Our focus is on bringing healthcare closer to our people. They deserve quality medical services without traveling long distances, and that’s exactly what we’re delivering,” Aroyewun said.

The council boss also inspected the security section of the health centre to ensure adequate safety measures for health workers, patients, and public property. He assured that the council would maintain regular monitoring until the completion of the project to guarantee adherence to standards and quality delivery.

Aroyewun noted that the Baiyeku Primary Health Centre improvement project aligns with his administration’s GLORY Agenda — an acronym for Growth, Learning, Opportunity, Reform, and Youth Development — which emphasizes sustainable community development and improved social welfare.

The initiative, he added, represents another bold stride in his administration’s commitment to expanding access to essential healthcare services and improving the overall well-being of residents across Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
