The long-awaited rehabilitation of the Ojubode Junction to Sheikh Dhikrullah Abdullahi Andu Tanimose Road in Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has officially commenced, bringing relief to residents and motorists who have endured years of poor road conditions.
The project, handled by HITECH Construction Company, follows the fulfillment of a promise made by the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, under his administration’s GLORY Agenda.
According to reports from the site, HITECH has already mobilized equipment and commenced preliminary earthworks, a crucial phase that signals the beginning of full restoration of the damaged stretch.
The initiative forms part of the council’s broad infrastructural renewal drive, designed to enhance road connectivity, ease vehicular movement, and improve socio-economic activities within the community.
Chairman Aroyewun reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering people-oriented projects that align with the GLORY Agenda, which emphasizes Good Governance, Livability, Opportunities, Reform, and Youth Empowerment.
“We are determined to restore and improve our road network to the highest standards. This project is another demonstration of our resolve to make Igbogbo/Baiyeku a more livable and economically vibrant community,” Aroyewun said.
Residents and motorists have applauded the council for responding promptly to their concerns, describing the development as a testament to the administration’s responsiveness and dedication to infrastructural progress.
