Nestlé Nigeria Reports Strong 9-Month 2025 Results, Marks Return to Sustained Profitability

 




Nestlé Nigeria PLC has posted impressive financial results for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, reflecting significant growth momentum and a firm return to profitability driven by operational efficiency and resilient market performance.

According to the company’s unaudited financial statements, revenue surged by 33% to ₦884.5 billion, up from ₦665.3 billion recorded in the same period of 2024. Operating profit rose sharply by 63.6%, reaching ₦181.3 billion, compared to ₦110.8 billion in the corresponding period last year.

Nestlé Nigeria also reported a profit before tax of ₦127.9 billion, a remarkable turnaround from a ₦255.4 billion loss recorded in the previous year. Profit after tax stood at ₦72.5 billion, contrasting with a ₦184.3 billion loss in 9M 2024, while the company’s equity position improved by the same margin.

A notable highlight of the period was the early repayment of USD 20 million in inter-group foreign exchange debt during the third quarter of 2025, demonstrating Nestlé’s strengthened financial discipline and improved liquidity position.

Commenting on the performance, Mr. Wassim Elhusseini, Managing Director and CEO of Nestlé Nigeria PLC, said the results highlight the sustainability of the company’s recovery and strong fundamentals.

“The results for the nine months signify the sustainability of our return to profitability since the fourth quarter of 2024. The topline growth of 33% during this period, along with a profit after tax of ₦72.5 billion, clearly illustrates that our dedication to operational excellence and our robust fundamentals are producing the desired outcomes,” he stated.

Looking ahead, Elhusseini reaffirmed Nestlé’s commitment to margin management, business transformation, and long-term value creation across its ecosystem.
