Ojubode Junction, Igbogbo Set for Rehabilitation as Aroyewun Engages Hitech Contractors

Igbogbo, Lagos — October 11, 2025.
Relief is on the way for motorists and residents in Igbogbo as the Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chairman, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has moved to address the deteriorating portion of Obafemi Awolowo Road at Ojubode Junction.

Following earlier engagements with the Lagos State Public Works Corporation, the council chairman has now enlisted the services of Hitech Construction Company to undertake a comprehensive and permanent repair of the affected section of the road.

According to the council, the renewed intervention underscores Aroyewun’s commitment to improving road infrastructure and ensuring smoother traffic flow within the Igbogbo axis.

“This effort is part of our continuous drive to enhance mobility, improve safety, and make life easier for our residents and commuters,” the chairman stated.

Officials of Hitech, led by Engr. P.M. Dandri, have already been mobilised to site by the council. Repair works are scheduled to commence on Monday, October 13, 2025, beginning from Agarawu Junction down to Ojubode Junction.

The rehabilitation, which is expected to be completed within a short period, will involve grading, resurfacing, and drainage alignment to ensure durability and effective water flow.

Residents have welcomed the move, describing it as a timely response to a long-standing challenge that has hampered vehicular movement in the area.

The Aroyewun administration continues to prioritise infrastructure renewal as a key component of its development agenda, reinforcing its pledge to deliver tangible improvements across Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
