One-Year Memorial for Late AFRIMA President’s Wife, Modupe Dada, Holds Sunday in Lagos
Nearly a year after her passing, family, friends, and associates will on Sunday, October 19, 2025, gather in Lagos to honour the memory of Mrs. Modupe Temitope Dada, the late wife of Mr. Mike Dada, President and Executive Producer of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
The one-year memorial service is scheduled to hold at Grace Assembly Church, Yard 158, Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun-Ikeja, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. It will be a solemn afternoon of reflection, worship, and gratitude — celebrating the life of a woman fondly remembered for her kindness, grace, and quiet strength.
Mrs. Dada passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at a private hospital in Lagos after a brief illness. She was aged 48. Her death was met with deep sorrow across professional and social circles, where she was admired for her compassion, humility, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Until her passing, Mrs. Dada served with distinction in Nigeria’s banking sector, earning promotions and commendations for her outstanding performance and professionalism. Colleagues and friends described her as “kindness personified” — a woman whose gentle spirit and faith touched everyone around her.
In an invitation shared with friends and associates, Mr. Mike Dada, who also serves as Managing Director of PRM Africa Marketing and Communications, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the love and support extended to his family since the passing of his wife.
“It’s been a year since my beloved wife, Modupe, went to be with the Lord. You are warmly invited as we worship, remember, and give thanks for her inspiring life,” he wrote.
The memorial service, to be officiated by Reverend Femi Paul, will serve not only as a remembrance of Modupe’s life but also as a celebration of her enduring legacy of faith, compassion, and friendship — values that continue to inspire all who knew her.
