Senator Abiru, Sanwo-Olu Visit CBN Governor, Seek Stronger Economic Synergy

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions, Senator Tokunbo Abiru, on Thursday joined the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, on a courtesy visit to the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Olayemi Cardoso.

The visit, held in Abuja, focused on strengthening collaboration between the apex bank and Lagos State in order to advance sustainable economic growth, ensure financial stability, and promote shared prosperity in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Senator Abiru, who represents Lagos East Senatorial District, reaffirmed his commitment to fostering strategic partnerships that will deliver tangible development to the people. He emphasized that the discussions with the CBN Governor centered on critical areas including economic growth, financial inclusion, and increased investment opportunities.
