Adeboruwa Bestows Award of Excellence on Igbogbo/Baiyeku Chairman Aroyewun
The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has been honoured with the prestigious Adeboruwa Award of Excellence in recognition of his impactful and people-centred leadership.
The award was presented on Sunday during a special luncheon hosted by His Royal Majesty, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, as part of activities marking the 37th Igbogbo Day Celebration. The ceremony brought together distinguished sons and daughters of the kingdom in an atmosphere that highlighted the community’s unity and cultural heritage.
The recognition celebrates Chairman Aroyewun’s contributions to the progress and transformation of the LCDA, including his commitment to human-centred governance, social development, and a leadership style anchored in compassion, integrity, and responsive service delivery.
It also underscores his efforts toward inclusive growth, community engagement, cultural preservation, and reforms aimed at improving the welfare of residents across Igbogbo/Baiyeku.
The Council expressed appreciation to the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, the Adeboruwa-in-Council, and the Igbogbo Day Planning Committee for the well-organised ceremony, which reflected the enduring spirit of the community.
In his remarks, Chairman Aroyewun expressed profound gratitude for the honour and pledged to continue working tirelessly for a safer, more prosperous, and progressive Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
