APC Deepens Digital Capacity with South-West “Train-the-Trainer” E-Registration Workshop

The All Progressives Congress (APC), in partnership with the Lagos State Government, has commenced a strategic Train-the-Trainer workshop focused on e-registration and hands-on device/application usage for party members across the South-West geopolitical zone.

The two-day capacity-building session, holding at the Radisson Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, on November 3rd and 4th, 2025, aims to empower party officials with the necessary digital skills to facilitate smooth, standardized, and transparent membership registration processes.

Participants from the six South-West states—Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti—are being trained to serve as digital ambassadors who will cascade the acquired knowledge to the grassroots in their respective states.

In a show of support, The Progressives Group commended the APC leadership and the organisers for what it described as a “forward-thinking initiative” that will strengthen the party’s data management and internal organization.

According to a statement signed by the group’s secretary, Comrade Shola Omolola, the initiative reflects the party’s vision for modern, technology-driven political engagement.

“We acknowledge the foresight of the leadership of our great party and the organisers of this training. We implore participants to be diligent and serious with the learning process, as the long-term benefits will greatly impact our people and the structure of the party,” Omolola said.

He noted that the programme is designed to deliver several key benefits, including improved training quality, increased confidence among trainers, standardized delivery across states, better knowledge sharing, enhanced credibility, improved learning outcomes, and greater productivity.

The Progressives Group also urged all committed APC members to take advantage of the e-registration exercise once it officially begins, emphasizing that it represents a major step toward efficiency, inclusiveness, and modernization within the party.

“This is a laudable initiative that underscores the APC’s commitment to progress. We are confident that it will achieve its intended objectives and further unite the party through technology and innovation,” Omolola added.
