JMG Champions Employee Well-being with Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

In a bid to promote employee health and foster a culture of preventive care, JMG Limited, Nigeria’s leading provider of integrated electro-mechanical solutions, has held its maiden Breast Cancer Awareness Programme as part of activities marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The sensitisation drive, themed “Every Story is Unique, Every Journey Matters,” brought together employees from all JMG locations—both onsite and virtually—for an engaging and educational session that highlighted the importance of early detection and regular screening.

Led by Dr. Gold Ukwute, a medical expert and cancer awareness advocate, the session addressed common cancers affecting both men and women, particularly within the Black community. She emphasised the need for early diagnosis, healthy lifestyle choices, and routine self-examinations as key strategies in the fight against cancer.

A major highlight of the event was a live demonstration on proper breast self-examination techniques, equipping participants with practical knowledge to take charge of their health and share the awareness within their families and communities.

Speaking at the event, Mazen Jubaili, Managing Director of JMG Limited, urged employees to embrace health consciousness as a year-round commitment.

“Awareness is not a one-month campaign; it’s a lifelong practice,” he said. “As a JMG and Jamara family, we must continue to promote early detection and remind ourselves that no one is ever too young to check.”

The event was marked by an atmosphere of warmth, reflection, and solidarity, with employees openly sharing experiences and learning from one another. It reaffirmed JMG’s reputation as a family-oriented organisation that prioritises the well-being of its people.
