Marwa Promotes NDLEA Lagos Commander, Abubakar Liman Wali, to Assistant Commander General of Narcotics

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), has decorated the Commander of the Lagos Strategic Command, Abubakar Liman Wali, with his new rank as Assistant Commander General of Narcotics (ACGN).
The decoration ceremony, held at the Agency’s National Headquarters in Abuja, was attended by family members, friends, and senior officials of the NDLEA.
In his remarks, Gen. Marwa congratulated the newly promoted officers and urged them to redouble their commitment to the Agency’s mission of curbing drug trafficking and abuse across the country. He emphasized that promotion comes with greater responsibility and called on all officers to remain steadfast in the ongoing war against illicit drugs.
“You must see this promotion as a call to do more. Our collective duty is to protect the youth and safeguard the future of this nation from the scourge of drug abuse,” Marwa stated.
He also commended other officers who received awards and commendations for outstanding performance in their respective commands, noting that the NDLEA will continue to recognize dedication and excellence.
In his response, ACGN Abubakar Liman Wali expressed his gratitude to the NDLEA leadership for the recognition and pledged to intensify efforts in making the Lagos Strategic Command a formidable front against drug barons and their collaborators.
“This promotion is a motivation to do more. We will make Lagos Strategic Command even tougher for drug traffickers,” Wali affirmed, while also appreciating his officers for their loyalty and support.
The event reflected NDLEA’s ongoing drive to reward hard work and inspire higher performance in its renewed offensive against narcotics trafficking and substance abuse nationwide.
