Fidelity Bank Grows Gross Earnings by 46% to ₦748.7bn in H1 2025




Fidelity Bank Plc has released its audited financial results for the half-year ended June 30, 2025, posting strong growth across major performance indicators and reinforcing its position as one of Nigeria’s leading financial institutions.

According to the results uploaded on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) portal on Thursday, November 13, 2025, the bank recorded a 46% rise in Gross Earnings to ₦748.7 billion, up from ₦512.9 billion in the corresponding period of 2024. Net Interest Income also grew significantly, rising to ₦420.4 billion compared to ₦326.4 billion in H1 2024.

Customer Deposits closed at ₦7.2 trillion, an increase from ₦5.9 trillion recorded at the end of the 2024 financial year, underscoring customers’ confidence in the bank’s stability and service delivery.

The bank’s Net Revenue rose to ₦444.4 billion from ₦396.8 billion in H1 2024, while its loan book strengthened further with Net Loans and Advances hitting ₦4.9 trillion, up from ₦4.4 trillion in FY 2024. Fidelity Bank said the growth in its loan portfolio reflects its sustained support for businesses and individuals across key sectors of the economy.

Despite the expansion, asset quality remained solid, with non-performing loans maintained within acceptable regulatory thresholds.

The bank noted that its ongoing capital-raising initiatives have bolstered its financial position, better positioning it to meet new regulatory requirements and tap emerging growth opportunities. It added that its strong liquidity and governance structures continue to provide a stable foundation for future performance.

Fidelity Bank, which serves more than 9.1 million customers through its digital channels, 255 business offices, and UK subsidiary, FidBank UK Limited, has continued to receive both local and international recognition for excellence.

Its recent accolades include the 2024 Excellence in Digital Transformation & MSME Banking Award at the BusinessDay Banks and Financial Institutions (BAFI) Awards; Most Innovative Mobile Banking Application for the Fidelity Mobile App by Global Business Outlook; and Most Innovative Investment Banking Service Provider by Global Brands Magazine. The bank was also named Best Bank for SMEs in Nigeria by Euromoney Awards for Excellence and Export Financing Bank of the Year by the BAFI Awards.
