Oyo Water Corporation Begins Pipeline Rehabilitation to End Secretariat Water Shortage

The Water Corporation of Oyo State has commenced the rehabilitation of the major water pipeline supplying the Oyo State Government Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, in a move aimed at ending the prolonged water scarcity within the Secretariat and surrounding areas.

The Executive Chairman of the Corporation, Hon. Elias Adeojo, revealed this during a briefing with the team of engineers handling the project in his office.

Adeojo praised the engineers for their commitment to restoring water supply to the Government House — a facility that had suffered years of non-functional water infrastructure before the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.

He noted that once the rehabilitation is completed, businesses and offices within the Secretariat Complex and its environs will also enjoy improved access to potable water.

The Chairman reaffirmed the Makinde administration’s commitment to providing clean and safe water to residents across the state before the end of the governor’s second term.
