Polaris Bank Offers Free Prostate Cancer Screening to 250 Men in Partnership with Men’s Health Clinic
Lagos, Nigeria – November 21, 2025 — Polaris Bank has announced the launch of its 2025 free prostate cancer screening programme, in partnership with the Men’s Health Clinic, as part of activities marking this year’s International Men’s Day. The initiative, themed “Men, Your Health Matters – Get Screened Today!”, will provide complimentary prostate cancer screening for 250 men aged 40 and above between November 24 and December 31, 2025.
The Bank is sustaining the annual programme following the notable success and positive health impact recorded during its 2024 edition, which offered early detection opportunities to hundreds of Nigerian men. Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer among men in the country, but early diagnosis significantly improves survival rates to over 98%.
The comprehensive screening package — fully funded by Polaris Bank — includes a Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) blood test, Digital Rectal Examination (DRE), and a private consultation with a specialist. Beneficiaries will receive their results and personalised medical advice within 48 hours.
Polaris Bank Managing Director/CEO, Kayode Lawal, said the Bank’s decision to continue the initiative was driven by the impact made last year.
“The feedback and lives touched in 2024 reaffirmed our commitment to men’s health. We are delighted to sustain this tradition, remove every barrier to early detection, and welcome more men into the Polaris Bank family with seamless, rewarding banking experiences,” he said.
Founder and Chief Medical Director of Men’s Health Clinic, Akin Oteniya, described the partnership as a model for corporate-driven health interventions.
“Last year’s collaboration with Polaris Bank set a gold standard for corporate health responsibility in Nigeria. We are proud to partner again to deliver dignified, expert care and continue saving lives through early intervention,” he stated.
Participation is open to all men aged 40 and above, regardless of banking status. However, each participant is required to hold a Polaris Bank account. Non-customers can opt to open an account during registration at no cost and with zero minimum balance.
Only 250 slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), by enhancing access to preventive healthcare and reducing deaths from non-communicable diseases through early detection.
