Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has intensified his re-election campaign with energetic rallies across Ekwusigo and Nnewi South Local Government Areas, urging residents to turn out in large numbers and vote for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the forthcoming November 8 gubernatorial election.
Addressing a massive crowd at the Ekwusigo Local Government Headquarters in Ozubulu, Governor Soludo charged the people to ensure they possess and safeguard their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs), emphasizing that active civic participation remains vital to sustaining democracy and shaping the future of Anambra State.
“Your PVC is your power,” the Governor said. “By voting, you are deciding the direction of our collective destiny. Let us come out en masse to reaffirm our trust in APGA and the progress we have made together.”
According to the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, Professor Soludo reiterated his administration’s unwavering focus on security, infrastructure, human capital development, and healthcare, assuring the people of Ekwusigo that the next four years will consolidate the gains already achieved.
Community leaders including Sir Jude Mbaegbu and Chief Ebuka Onunkwo pledged total support for the Governor’s re-election, promising to deliver massive votes for APGA. In a remarkable show of solidarity, residents of Ekwusigo contributed ₦151 million in support of the Governor’s campaign efforts.
The campaign train later moved to Nnewi South, where Governor Soludo addressed a mammoth crowd at a rally in Amichi, organized by twenty wards within the local government area.
Reflecting on past security challenges that affected political campaigns during previous elections, Governor Soludo hailed the large turnout as evidence of the improved safety and stability achieved under his administration.
He expressed profound gratitude to the people of Nnewi South for their unwavering support, describing the upcoming election as “sacrosanct” to Anambra’s continued development and APGA’s legacy of good governance.
Prominent community figures including Chief Chidi Anyaegbu, Senator Emmanuel Nwachukwu, and Engr. Igweke Uche also spoke at the event, reaffirming their confidence in Soludo’s leadership and the enduring appeal of APGA as “a household name in Nnewi South.”
Demonstrating their strong commitment to the Governor’s vision, stakeholders and supporters from Nnewi South donated ₦85 million to bolster his campaign.
