Tinubu Hails Soludo’s Re-election, Describes It as Endorsement of Visionary Leadership

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State on his re-election, describing the victory as a clear affirmation of his visionary and result-driven leadership.

In a statement personally signed by the President, Tinubu commended the people of Anambra State, security agencies, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the peaceful and credible conduct of the November 8 governorship election.

“The overwhelming victory recorded by Governor Soludo makes him the third governor in Anambra’s political history to win a second term,” the President stated. “This victory is a testament to his visionary leadership and the remarkable progress the state has achieved under his administration.”

President Tinubu, who fondly referred to Soludo as ‘Mr. Solution’, noted that the Anambra governor has proven that “knowledge is indeed power,” applying academic discipline, accountability, transparency, and prudent management in governance.

“I visited Anambra State in May this year to inaugurate some projects executed by the Soludo administration,” Tinubu recalled. “The creativity and foresight behind those landmark projects were truly impressive, and the experience remains indelible.”

He praised Soludo for bringing “discipline, brilliance, and a fresh perspective” to governance, stressing that under his leadership, Anambra is living up to its motto as “The Light of the Nation.”

President Tinubu urged Governor Soludo to be magnanimous in victory and extend a hand of fellowship to his political opponents in the spirit of unity and progress.

Reaffirming the Federal Government’s readiness to collaborate with the Anambra State Government, Tinubu said: “I assure Governor Soludo of my unwavering support and look forward to continued partnership between the Federal Government and Anambra State for the benefit of the people.”

The President also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and its new Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, for conducting what observers described as a credible election.

“The victory of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) once again underscores the vitality of our democracy,” Tinubu added. “It shows that in Nigeria’s political system, hard work, performance, and progressive ideals can earn victory irrespective of party affiliation.”

He charged INEC to sustain its performance and continue improving on its standards to further strengthen Nigeria’s electoral system.
