VerveLife 8.0 Ignites Lagos with Energy, Fitness, and Star Power at Eko Convention Center
Lagos, Nigeria – November 4, 2025 – The 2025 edition of VerveLife, Africa’s largest fitness and lifestyle gathering, came to an electrifying close at the Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, with over 10,000 participants engaging in a full-day celebration of wellness, community, and entertainment.
The two-part event, tagged VerveLife 8.0: “Elev8”, combined intensive workout sessions, fitness challenges, lifestyle masterclasses, and a star-studded after party that turned the venue into a carnival of energy and motivation.
The Grand Finale featured dynamic fitness performances and obstacle course challenges led by some of Africa’s top trainers, including Kemen, Trebla, Mayorfit, BodyByJane, CeeJay Kimani, King of Squats (KOS), Mamiki Slayqueen, Queen Fitnass from South Africa, and Dolapo. Attendees participated in diverse fitness sessions designed for all levels—from beginners to professionals—as well as breakout activities such as spin cycling, step board aerobics, trampoline workouts, and obstacle runs.
The event also featured a dedicated kiddies’ corner for children aged 3 to 10 and masterclasses on nutrition and wellness, promoting a holistic approach to healthy living.
Speaking at the event, Cherry Eromosele, Executive Vice President, Group Marketing and Corporate Communications, Interswitch Group, described VerveLife as more than just a fitness event, but a growing movement connecting Africans through energy, wellness, and shared purpose.
“VerveLife has evolved into a powerful community that unites people through fitness, fun, and inspiration,” Eromosele said. “This year’s theme, Elev8, represents the drive to rise above limits, celebrate milestones, and live fully. The day’s highlight saw three participants emerge as top winners—Peter Alfred and Paul Amedu each won ₦1 million, while Chidera Nkem drove home a brand-new car courtesy of Verve x Google Play and Chery x Carloha.
As the day transitioned into night, the VerveLife 8.0 After Party took center stage with high-octane performances from King Ojem, Shoday, Alternate Sound, LOUD Urban Choir, and the legendary Timaya. Celebrity guests including Tobi Bakre, Broda Shaggi, Dr. Sid, Timi Dakolo, and Hero Daniels joined the celebration, while top DJs—Maze and Xtreme, DJ Toh Bad, DJ Crowd Kontroller, and DJ X-Ray—kept the energy alive into the early hours.
