Lagos, Nigeria – Woodhall Capital, a leading Nigerian investment and financial advisory firm, has announced ambitious plans to attract $50 billion in global investments aimed at accelerating infrastructure, energy, and development projects across Nigeria.
The firm’s Founder and President, Mrs. Mojisola Hunponu-Wusu, disclosed this during an interview following a pre-investor forum held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where representatives from all 36 states of the federation engaged with international investors and development finance institutions (DFIs).
According to Hunponu-Wusu, the initiative underscores Woodhall Capital’s mission to mobilize international capital toward projects that drive economic transformation and inclusive growth.
“At the Abuja forum, we showcased the vast investment potential across Nigeria and emphasized the critical role of African Direct Investments (ADIs) in promoting self-reliance and boosting investor confidence among indigenous stakeholders,” she said.
To strengthen partnerships, Woodhall Capital will soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Forum of State Investment Promotion Agencies (FoSIPAN) and the National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA). The agreement is expected to bolster both sub-sovereign and sovereign investment collaboration across Nigeria.
The firm is also embarking on a multi-city global investment roadshow, with key stops in London, Dubai, and potentially Abu Dhabi, to engage international financiers and showcase Nigeria’s vast investment opportunities.
Hunponu-Wusu noted that Woodhall Capital has strengthened its international presence by opening offices in London and Dubai, enabling closer engagement with investors and host governments.
The pre-investor forum, which attracted over 400 participants, including top officials from the Office of the Vice President, state governments, banks, and private investment groups, marked a significant step toward deepening cross-border partnerships.
She commended the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) for its proactive role in engaging indigenous investment firms to tell Nigeria’s development story and reaffirm the nation’s readiness for meaningful investment dialogue.
Hunponu-Wusu also lauded President Bola Tinubu’s administration for creating a more enabling investment climate across Africa.
“Africa is rich in talent and resources, and governments are increasingly open to strategic partnerships. This is the kind of environment that empowers firms like ours to pursue global investment opportunities,” she said.
A major highlight of Woodhall Capital’s development strategy is the Woodhall Africa Trade Gateway, a digital trade platform developed in partnership with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank). The platform—described as an “African Amazon” for trade—facilitates intra-African commerce and enhances access to regional markets.
Hunponu-Wusu also used the opportunity to encourage young African women to pursue excellence and contribute meaningfully to economic growth.
“Recognition comes from genuine contributions, whether at home or in the workplace. Women must stay focused on adding value and honing their unique talents,” she advised.
As part of its nationwide outreach, Woodhall Capital plans to visit all 36 Nigerian states to identify viable investment opportunities and collaborate with sub-national governments in packaging projects for international investors.
The initiative is designed to spotlight each state’s economic potential, foster job creation, and drive inclusive growth across the country.
