Personnel of the Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Lagos have undergone a strategic capacity-building workshop focused on Emotional Intelligence and Effective Cohesive Team Building. The training, held under the leadership of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Zone, AIG Adegoke M. Fayoade, was facilitated by Dr. Karockas Watkins of Vision Excellence Global, USA, and his Africa-based team.
The interactive session explored critical themes such as self-leadership, personality types, organizational effectiveness, and trust building. The facilitators emphasized that developing these skills enables officers to better understand human behaviour, manage interpersonal relationships, and improve self-awareness in line with international best practices.
Participants described the workshop as highly engaging and impactful, noting that the lessons delivered were practical and relevant to their day-to-day responsibilities in law enforcement.
Commending the organizers, AIG Fayoade stressed the importance of continuous refresher trainings for police personnel. He encouraged officers to remain committed to personal and professional development, stating that consistent learning enhances service delivery and operational performance.
