Eti-Osa LG Hosts 2026 Budget Retreat, Sets Agenda for ‘Visionary and Resilient’ Development

The Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa Local Government, Omo'ba Adeola Alimot Adetoro, has flagged off the council’s 2026 Budget Retreat with the theme “Budget of Vision: Building Resilient Communities.”

The three-day strategic session, which opened at Daval Spring Hotel, Ikorodu, brings together political office holders, management staff, departmental heads, unit leaders, and other key stakeholders to align development priorities ahead of the new fiscal year.

According to the council chairman, the retreat provides a platform to review departmental proposals, evaluate performance for the outgoing year, and set realistic, people-focused targets for 2026. She noted that the exercise reflects her administration’s commitment to transparency, prudent resource management, and inclusive governance.

Adetoro also highlighted some of the council’s achievements within her first three months in office, including a summer vocational coaching programme for youths, free distribution of GCE forms, and a community medical outreach. She reiterated that her administration remains guided by the 6-point HEYIGA agenda—Health, Education, Youth and Women Empowerment, Infrastructure, Greener Environment, and Agriculture.

The chairman urged participants to approach the retreat with dedication and a shared sense of purpose, stressing that strong collaboration and discipline would be crucial to achieving significant milestones by the end of 2026.

The retreat is expected to be highly interactive, with a focus on strengthening inter-departmental synergy, refining development strategies, and reinforcing the collective commitment to advancing growth across Eti-Osa Local Government.
