Glo TV Unveils Four Exclusive Nollywood Titles, Promises Subscribers a Premium Holiday Viewing Experience
Telecommunications giant Globacom has rolled out four new Nollywood movies on its premium entertainment platform, Glo TV, giving subscribers free access to a diverse mix of drama, comedy, romance, and cultural storytelling.
In a statement issued in Lagos, the company revealed that the new titles—Johnny Just Come (JJC), Eko Vibes, Bound, and Shifting Desire—feature some of Africa’s most celebrated actors and filmmakers, reinforcing Globacom’s commitment to elevating digital entertainment for millions of Nigerians.
Shifting Desire, which premiered on December 2 and is already streaming for free on Glo TV, stars Lillian Afegbai and veteran actor Majid Michel. The film delves into themes of marriage, intimacy, betrayal, healing, and the emotional journey of a couple in therapy seeking to rebuild trust.
In Johnny Just Come (JJC), viewers are treated to a humorous and heartwarming cultural crossover story featuring iconic actress Patience Ozokwor and Nancy Isime. The movie explores identity, family dynamics, and cultural coexistence through the eyes of an American man adjusting to life and love in an African household.
Bound, starring Rita Dominic and Eyinna Nwigwe, tells the gripping story of a successful career woman battling long-hidden personal struggles that threaten her relationship. The film delivers exceptional performances and emotional depth.
For lovers of contemporary Lagos culture, Eko Vibes features Broda Shaggi, Josh2Funny, and Nkechi Blessing in a vibrant portrayal of youth ambition, hustle, humor, and the energetic spirit of Lagos’ fast-paced lifestyle.
According to Globacom, the four titles were carefully curated to showcase diverse African narratives while offering world-class entertainment unavailable in cinemas, on YouTube, or on any other video-on-demand service. The company emphasized that access to the films is entirely free—no subscription or additional fee is required.
“These never-before-seen titles reaffirm Glo TV’s dedication to delivering original, high-quality African content,” the statement said. “We remain committed to expanding our catalogue with culturally rich stories that spotlight African creativity at its best.”
While Shifting Desire is already available, the remaining titles will premiere free of charge during the festive season.
