LSSTF ES/CEO Ogunsan Felicitates with Lagosians, Urges Vigilance During Festive Season
Lagos – The Executive Secretary/CEO of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, has extended warm Christmas greetings to Lagos residents and Nigerians, urging citizens to embrace the spirit of peace, unity, and shared responsibility while remaining vigilant to safeguard lives and property during the festive season.
In a goodwill message released on Thursday, December 25, 2025, Dr. Ogunsan described Christmas as a time for reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to building a safer society. He emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and called on residents to stay alert, report suspicious activities, and comply with traffic safety regulations to minimize accidents and other risks.
“Christmas reminds us of the power of love, sacrifice, and collective responsibility,” Dr. Ogunsan said. “As families gather to celebrate, I encourage all Lagosians to remain security-conscious and cooperate with law enforcement agencies to prevent avoidable threats.”
Dr. Ogunsan also expressed appreciation to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, LSSTF’s strategic partners, corporate supporters, retail donors, and individual contributors whose support throughout 2025 has strengthened security operations in Lagos. He highlighted that their contributions have enhanced logistics, mobility, and operational capacity for security agencies.
He further commended the dedication and professionalism of personnel across all security agencies, including the Nigeria Police, Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Nigerian Armed Forces, Paramilitary agencies, NDLEA, FRSC, LASTMA, LSNA, and local security outfits. “While many are celebrating with their families, these officers remain on active duty to keep our streets, neighborhoods, and public spaces safe. Their courage and commitment are the backbone of our collective security,” he stated.
Reaffirming LSSTF’s mandate, Dr. Ogunsan assured Lagosians that the Fund would continue to mobilize resources, deepen partnerships, and support innovative security solutions in line with the vision of the Lagos State Government. He also encouraged continuous funding from individuals, groups, and organizations to strengthen security across the state.
“Security is everyone’s business, and together, through vigilance and cooperation, we can ensure a safe and joyful festive season for all,” he said.
Dr. Ogunsan concluded by wishing Lagosians a peaceful Christmas and a prosperous New Year, expressing optimism that sustained collaboration between government, the private sector, and citizens would further enhance security outcomes in 2026.
