Sanwo-Olu to Champion ‘New Era of Security Partnerships’ as LSSTF Holds 19th Annual Town Hall Meeting
Plans have been concluded for the 19th edition of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) Annual Town Hall Meeting on Security, scheduled for Thursday, December 11, 2025. The event will be hosted by the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who will lead discussions on strengthening public-private security collaboration across the state.
The meeting, which will take place at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, by 11:00 a.m., marks the first edition to be anchored by the agency’s new Executive Secretary/CEO, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan. Since its establishment in 2007, the LSSTF has played a pivotal role in mobilizing financial, material, and logistical support for security agencies, firmly positioning Lagos as the benchmark for city-wide safety interventions in Nigeria and West Africa.
Themed “Building Trust, Enhancing Security: A New Era of Security and Partnerships,” the forum will convene senior government officials, heads of security agencies, private sector partners, and other key stakeholders. Discussions will focus on deepening trust between institutions and citizens, as well as forging innovative strategies to address emerging security challenges.
Over the years, the LSSTF Town Hall Meeting has evolved into a vital platform for reviewing security interventions, assessing funding priorities, and strengthening cooperation among stakeholders in Nigeria’s economic capital. Organizers expressed confidence that the 2025 edition will further reinforce Lagos’ security architecture and support ongoing efforts to protect residents, businesses, and critical infrastructure.
Attendance for this year’s event will be strictly by invitation, owing to the high-level nature of deliberations and the need to accommodate core stakeholders. Nevertheless, the LSSTF emphasized that the general public will not be excluded, as the entire session will be broadcast live on its official social media platforms to ensure transparency and wider participation.
