Eko Strike Force Gets Two Operational Vehicles as LSSTF Commends CP Jimoh

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated two operational vehicles to the Eko Strike Force, a specialised police unit established to strengthen intelligence-led policing and crime prevention across Lagos State.

The donation, presented at a brief handover ceremony, reinforces the continued partnership between the Lagos State Government and the Nigeria Police Force in safeguarding lives, property and critical infrastructure in the state.

Speaking during the presentation, the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of LSSTF, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, praised the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, for initiating the Eko Strike Force and for his impactful leadership since assuming office.

“On behalf of the Lagos State Governor, the Board and Management of LSSTF, and especially the donors of these assets, we are delighted to hand these vehicles over to you. We are so proud of what you have achieved since you came on board,” Ogunsan said. “As you continue to knock on our doors, we will continue to support you because of your excellent performance.”

He noted that the donation reflects LSSTF’s confidence in the professionalism and operational effectiveness of the Eko Strike Force, adding that the Fund remains committed to providing logistical support to enhance policing across the state.

“We cannot hold back support from a senior police officer who is working tirelessly to keep Lagos safe. These vehicles are for the Eko Strike Force to enable you to continue executing your ideas towards better policing in Lagos,” he added.

Responding, CP Jimoh expressed gratitude to the LSSTF for its sustained support, placing the latest donation within the context of broader security interventions in the state.

“We appreciate LSSTF for deeming it fit to add to the pool of vehicles for the Eko Strike Force. I recall that in February 2025, LSSTF donated five vehicles to us. With today’s presentation, we have received a total of 10 vehicles—eight from LSSTF and two from the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun,” he said.

The Commissioner described the Eko Strike Force as a complementary unit that bridges operational gaps and supports the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), assuring that the newly acquired vehicles would be deployed strategically to protect critical assets and high-traffic locations across the state.

“We will make the best use of these vehicles. Lagos is the economic nerve centre of the country, and we are committed to strengthening security presence in key areas to protect lives, property and infrastructure,” CP Jimoh stated.

He further reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to working closely with the Lagos State Government in line with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES-plus agenda, particularly in the area of security and safety.

The donation marks another milestone in Lagos State’s sustained investment in security infrastructure, underscoring its proactive approach to supporting policing and public safety.

Dignitaries present at the ceremony included the Administrative Director of LSSTF, Mr. Degbola Lewis; Executive Assistant, LSSTF, Mrs. Adaobi Nwankwo; Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, DCP Lawal Adeshina Bamidele; Commander, Eko Strike Force, CSP Adekunle Salako; CSP Shittu Aka (Admin Operations); CSP Oyebade Robert (OC Transport); and ASP Adeoye Olufemi of the Police Public Relations Unit, among others.
