Governor Soludo Champions Public-Private-Community Partnership, Commissions 5Km Road in Ezinifite

Ezinifite, Aguata LGA, Anambra State – In a landmark demonstration of community-driven development, Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has commissioned a newly constructed 5-kilometer road in Ezinifite, built by Chief Anthony Obele, a private citizen and proud son of the community. The project, executed through a pioneering Public-Private-Community Partnership (PPCP) model championed by the governor, marks a significant milestone in Anambra State’s infrastructure development.

Unlike traditional government projects, this road carries a personal significance for Governor Soludo, as it is located within his constituency. The freshly tarred road connects key neighborhoods in Ezinifite, promising to improve transportation, boost local commerce, and enhance the daily lives of residents.

At the commissioning ceremony, the governor lauded Chief Obele’s commitment, describing the project as a model for sustainable community development. Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo emphasized that collaborative efforts—combining private initiative, government facilitation, and community participation—are essential for accelerating infrastructural growth across the state.

“Government alone cannot achieve the speed of development we need,” the governor said. “Our people are all over the world, developing and shining the light. We celebrate our illustrious sons and daughters who come back to answer the call.” He encouraged Anambra indigenes at home and in the diaspora to invest in their communities, noting that even small contributions, when made for public good, can make a lasting impact.

Chief Obele, the visionary behind the project, expressed his belief that true leadership is measured by tangible contributions rather than titles. Praising the state government’s leadership and vision, he said, “We are proud of your leadership. This is just the beginning of what we’ll do.”

For residents of Ezinifite, including the Traditional Ruler and the President General of the community, the newly commissioned road represents more than infrastructure—it is a symbol of empowerment and a shift toward bottom-up development, demonstrating that real progress is possible when citizens take ownership of their communities.

The project also sets a precedent for the PPCP framework, highlighting how private resourcefulness, government support, and community cooperation can collaborate to shape the future of Anambra State.
