LSSTF Boosts NCCSALW South West Operations with Donation of Patrol Vehicle

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has strengthened inter-agency security collaboration with the donation of an operational vehicle to the National Centre for Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW), South West Zone.

The vehicle was formally handed over by the Director of Administration of LSSTF, Mr. Degbola Lewis, representing the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, during a brief ceremony held at the Trust Fund’s office in Alausa, Ikeja.

Receiving the donation, the Zonal Director of NCCSALW, South West, CP Abiodun Alamutu (rtd), expressed deep appreciation to the Lagos State Government and the LSSTF for what he described as a timely and strategic intervention that will significantly enhance the Centre’s operational effectiveness across the region.

CP Alamutu was accompanied by key members of the Centre’s management team, including ACP Ibrahim Akinniyi and Major Dasi Obanla, both Assistant Directors of NCCSALW.

Mr. Lewis reaffirmed LSSTF’s unwavering commitment to supporting security agencies whose mandates directly impact public safety and internal security, noting that effective control of illicit arms remains critical to sustaining peace and stability in Lagos State and the South West at large.

The event further underscored the growing collaboration between the LSSTF and federal security institutions operating within Lagos and the wider South West region.

The National Centre for Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW), domiciled under the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), is charged with coordinating national efforts to prevent, combat and eradicate the proliferation of illicit small arms and light weapons through policy development, enforcement, research and inter-agency cooperation aimed at enhancing national and regional security.
