Sanwo-Olu Reconstitutes LSSTF Board, Retains Durosinmi-Etti as Chair, Ogunsan as ES/CEO

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has approved the reconstitution of the Board of Trustees of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), reaffirming his administration’s commitment to strengthening internal security and public safety across the state.

The newly reconstituted Board reflects the LSSTF’s long-standing public–private partnership framework, bringing together experienced private sector leaders, security professionals, and senior government officials to further enhance security governance in Lagos.

Mr. Kehinde Durosinmi-Etti has been retained as Chairman of the Board. Also returning to the Board are a retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG Agboola Oshodi-Glover (rtd), and the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Tayo Akinmade Ayinde.

New members appointed to the Board include the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of First Bank Plc, Mr. Olusegun Alebiosu; Group Managing Director of United Bank for Africa Plc, Mr. Oliver Alawuba; Executive Director of Zenith Bank Plc, Mr. Akin Ogunranti; and Managing Director of Providus Bank, Mr. Walter Akpani.

Other new appointees are the Managing Director of the Abdul Samad Rabiu Initiative, Mr. Ubon Udoh; Group Managing Director of Prime Atlantic, Mr. Ayo Otuyalo; and the Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Chairman of Conference 57, Hon. Engr. Sesan Olowa.

Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan will continue in his role as Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, a position he assumed on Friday, October 31, 2025.

Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed appreciation to outgoing Board members who have completed their terms of service, commending their contributions to the Fund’s growth and effectiveness. Those who exited the Board include Mr. Segun Agbaje, Dr. Adesola Kazeem Adeduntan, Mr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu, Mr. Emeka Onwuka, Otunba Niyi Adewunmi, and Engr. Omotayo Bamgbose-Martins.

The Governor expressed confidence that the newly constituted Board would leverage its collective expertise to deepen collaboration between the government and the private sector in addressing security challenges in the state.

The reconstitution of the Board is expected to further strengthen the LSSTF’s role in mobilising resources to support security agencies in Lagos through the provision of equipment, logistics, and strategic interventions, while enhancing accountability, innovation, and effective security management in Nigeria’s commercial capital and West Africa’s economic hub.
