Soludo Marks Uga Boys’ 50th Anniversary, Reaffirms Commitment to Education in Anambra

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the education sector as he attended the 50th anniversary celebration of Uga Boys Secondary School, his alma mater.

The golden jubilee celebration, which marked five decades of academic excellence, brought together students, teachers, alumni and members of the host community to celebrate the school’s legacy and chart a course for its future. Governor Soludo, a distinguished old student, was a central figure at the event, drawing attention with his presence and personal connection to the institution.

Speaking at the ceremony, the governor described education as a critical foundation for sustainable development in Anambra State. “Education is the cornerstone upon which we will build a stronger, more prosperous state,” he said.

According to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo reflected on his years at Uga Boys Secondary School, recalling the influence of committed teachers on his academic and personal development. He also outlined ongoing and planned initiatives by his administration to improve education across the state, including the recruitment of more qualified teachers and enhanced access to quality teaching and learning.
