Aroyewun Commends Igbogbo/Baiyeku Residents Over Massive APC E-Membership Registration Turnout
Ikorodu, Lagos – February 10, 2026:
The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has lauded residents of the council for their massive participation in the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) E-Membership Registration Exercise, describing the turnout as a testament to strong grassroots mobilisation and political consciousness.
Aroyewun said the impressive number of registrations recorded across all wards of the LCDA clearly demonstrates the unity, resilience and progressive spirit of the people of Igbogbo/Baiyeku, while reinforcing the council’s strategic importance within Ikorodu Division and Lagos State.
According to him, the emergence of Ikorodu Division as the area with the highest number of registered APC members was the product of deliberate mobilisation, shared commitment and sustained engagement at the grassroots.
“This moment belongs to the people. It reflects our collective determination to strengthen participatory democracy, deepen political inclusion and firmly entrench progressive governance at the grassroots,” the chairman stated.
He expressed appreciation to party leaders, ward executives, councillors, market men and women, artisans, youth groups, women leaders and volunteers whose coordinated efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the exercise throughout the LCDA.
The council boss also commended traditional rulers, community leaders and other critical stakeholders for fostering unity, cooperation and orderliness during the registration process.
Special recognition was given to the APC leadership in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and Ikorodu Division, alongside campaign coordinators and grassroots organisers, whose sustained efforts translated mobilisation strategies into tangible results.
Aroyewun further noted that the success of the registration exercise strengthens the APC’s national outlook and aligns with the party’s Renewed Hope Agenda, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to people-centred governance, infrastructural development, youth empowerment and inclusive growth.
“This achievement renews our responsibility to serve with greater dedication, transparency and compassion. Together, we will continue to build a stronger and more prosperous Igbogbo/Baiyeku,” he assured.
