Fidelity Bank Boosts Access to Quality Education with School Facility Renovation in Anambra




Fidelity Bank Plc has strengthened access to quality education in Anambra State with the renovation and handover of a one-storey administrative building at Community Secondary School, Enugwuabo Ufuma, in Orumba North Local Government Area, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives.


Leading financial institution, Fidelity Bank Plc, has reaffirmed its commitment to educational development and youth empowerment with the renovation of an administrative block at Community Secondary School, Enugwuabo Ufuma, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The one-storey administrative building was comprehensively refurbished to address critical infrastructural challenges confronting the school and was formally handed over to the school community during a ceremony attended by government officials, community leaders and other stakeholders.

Speaking at the handover event, the Regional Bank Head, Fidelity Bank Plc, Awka, Dr. Nosa Orumwense, described the project as a reflection of the bank’s long-standing belief in education as a driver of sustainable development.

According to him, “This project represents more than a physical structure. It symbolises opportunity, progress and our shared commitment to building a better future for the youths of Enugwuabo Ufuma and beyond. By enhancing the school’s infrastructure, we are creating an environment that supports learning, discipline and pride among students and teachers.”

Also speaking, the Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, who represented Governor Chukwuma Soludo, commended Fidelity Bank for what she described as a genuine demonstration of corporate social responsibility.

She noted that the school had previously been placed on an emergency list due to the poor condition of its facilities, raising concerns about the safety of students and teachers. “Today, the school has a new look, thanks to Fidelity Bank’s timely intervention,” she said, while expressing the state government’s appreciation to the bank for making a tangible impact on the community.

The renovation project forms part of Fidelity Bank’s broader CSR strategy aimed at empowering communities, strengthening educational institutions and creating sustainable socio-economic value across Nigeria.
