FRSC Lagos Honours Outstanding Officers, Units at 2025 End-of-Year Awards



The Lagos Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Friday, January 30, 2026, held its 2025 End-of-Year Celebration, honouring officers, marshals and command units that demonstrated exceptional performance and dedication to duty during the year.

Speaking at the event, the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat, said the annual celebration provided an opportunity to reflect on the year’s challenges, achievements and operational milestones. He noted that despite the complex nature of road safety management in Lagos State, the command recorded significant progress through professionalism, resilience and teamwork.


CC Hamzat commended officers and marshals for their discipline and unwavering commitment, stressing that their efforts had strengthened the image of the Corps and enhanced public confidence in FRSC operations across the state.

According to him, the ceremony was both a celebration of the outgoing year and a recognition of outstanding personnel and partners whose contributions supported the command’s successes.

In his goodwill message, a retired Deputy Corps Marshal, Bisi Kazeem, praised the Lagos Sector Command for its professionalism and collective commitment to saving lives on Nigerian roads. He urged personnel to sustain high standards of integrity, strengthen operational systems and maintain a culture of responsibility in the new year.



At the awards presentation, Apapa Command Unit emerged as the Overall Best Command, while Ojota and Ibeju Command Units emerged as first and second runners-up respectively. Apapa Command also won the Best Command in Enforcement category, followed by Ojo and Iba Command Units.

Individual award recipients included DRC S. S. Erinosho, who won Best Officer in Integrity Booking; R. O. Oguntolu, Best Marshal in Operations; and CRC Omotola Jayeola Abogunloko, Unit Commander, Airport Command, who emerged Best Logistics Officer.




Others honoured were ARC Balogun of the Ojota Unit Command as Best Officer in Operations; AT Ogundele as Best Utility Staff (Marshal Cadre); and ARC Maleeq Asiwaju as Best Utility Staff (Officer Cadre).

The event underscored the Lagos Sector Command’s commitment to excellence, accountability and improved road safety service delivery.
