NCC Board Inspects Digital Bridge Institute, Reaffirms Commitment to ICT Capacity Development
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening human capacity development in Nigeria’s information and communications technology (ICT) sector following an inspection visit to the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), Oshodi, Lagos State.
The inspection tour, which took place on Friday, January 30, 2026, was led by the Chairman of the NCC Board, Chief Idris Olorunnimbe, alongside the Executive Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, Dr. Aminu Maida, and other members of the Board and management team.
Board members on the visit included Princess Oforitsenere Emiko, Engr. Ikechukwu Ugwuegede, and Hon. Chris Okorie, while the Executive Commissioner for Stakeholder Management, Ms. Rimini Makama, was also in attendance. The delegation was received by the Head of the Digital Bridge Institute, Lagos Campus, Mr. Akin Ogunlade, and senior officials of the Institute.
The visit was aimed at assessing the state of facilities, ongoing training programmes, and the overall operational capacity of the Institute, which serves as the NCC’s training arm for building technical and managerial competencies in the telecommunications and ICT industry.
