Aroyewun Celebrates Tinubu at 74, Hails President’s Leadership and Reform Agenda

The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has paid glowing tribute to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a symbol of resilience, vision, and transformative leadership.

In a statement issued on March 29, Aroyewun praised the President’s political journey, noting that his rise from grassroots politics in Lagos to the nation’s highest office remains one of the most remarkable leadership stories in Africa.

He highlighted Tinubu’s tenure as Governor of Lagos from 1999 to 2007, during which he laid the foundation for the state’s emergence as a leading economic hub. According to Aroyewun, the governance model established during that period continues to serve as a benchmark for public administration across Nigeria.

The council chairman further described the President as a “political architect and master strategist” who has played a pivotal role in mentoring leaders and strengthening Nigeria’s democratic institutions, particularly during critical periods in the nation’s history.

Commenting on Tinubu’s presidency, Aroyewun commended his bold approach to governance, especially in implementing economic reforms and pursuing structural changes aimed at national development. He noted that despite political pressures, the President has remained committed to policies designed to reposition the country and improve governance at all levels, including local administration and security architecture.

He also lauded the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing it as a reflection of Tinubu’s long-standing belief in Nigeria’s potential and his determination to build a nation that works for all citizens.

Aroyewun concluded by wishing the President good health, wisdom, and strength to continue his leadership, expressing confidence that history would judge his contributions favourably.
