Ibeju-Lekki LG Chairman Announces Appointment of 17 Political Office Holders

The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has announced the appointment of 17 political office holders to serve in various capacities within the council administration, a move aimed at strengthening governance, enhancing service delivery and promoting inclusive representation across the local government.

In an official statement issued on March 3, 2026, by the Media Office of the Executive Chairman, the appointments were described as part of ongoing efforts by the council leadership to deepen effective governance and accelerate development across communities within the local government.

According to the statement, the newly appointed officials were carefully selected based on their integrity, competence, commitment to public service and dedication to the growth and development of the council area.

The chairman noted that the appointments also reflect the administration’s determination to ensure broad-based representation of stakeholders and wards within Ibeju-Lekki .

The statement added that the appointees are expected to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, transparency and a strong sense of accountability in line with the developmental agenda of the administration.

“They are expected to work collaboratively with relevant departments, stakeholders and residents of the local government to advance sustainable development and improve the welfare of the people,” the statement said.

It further revealed that the names of the appointees have been forwarded to the Legislative Arm of the local government for the necessary screening and clearance.
