As the global community commemorates World Engineering Day 2026, JMG Limited has reiterated its commitment to advancing smart engineering solutions that drive sustainable development across Nigeria.

This year’s theme, “Smart Engineering for a Sustainable Future through Innovation and Digitalisation,” underscores the pivotal role engineering plays in fostering economic growth, strengthening infrastructure, and promoting environmental sustainability.

For JMG, the theme aligns closely with its core operations. The company provides integrated electro-mechanical solutions that support key sectors of the economy, including power generation, solar energy, electrical infrastructure, air compressors, cooling systems, and elevators and escalators. These services power factories, commercial centres, healthcare facilities, and residential developments nationwide.

Speaking on the significance of the day, the company’s Chief Commercial Officer, Rabi Jammal, emphasised the broader impact of engineering beyond technical systems.

“Engineering is more than machines and systems; it is about impact. Smart engineering enables businesses to operate efficiently, cities to function reliably, and communities to grow sustainably. Through innovation and digitalisation, we are redefining how energy is generated, managed, and optimised across Nigeria,” Jammal said.

JMG noted that its workforce comprises skilled professionals across mechanical, electrical/electronics, computer, and chemical engineering disciplines, who design, install, and maintain systems aimed at reducing downtime, improving operational efficiency, and delivering long-term value to clients.

Sustainability remains central to the company’s strategy. Since 2018, JMG has intensified its focus on renewable and hybrid energy solutions. The firm introduced Lithion inverters and batteries, followed by Livfast inverters and batteries in 2022. In 2024, it expanded its solar portfolio with LONGi solar panels, Deye lithium batteries, and Must solar inverters to provide cleaner and more efficient energy alternatives.
