Lagos APC Highlights Successful e-Registration, Congresses, Says Party Remains Model of Organisation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has described its recent electronic membership registration and party congresses as evidence of the party’s strong organisational structure and commitment to democratic discipline.

In a statement issued on March 6, the Lagos APC spokesman, Seye Oladejo, said the processes were conducted peacefully and transparently across wards and local government areas in the state, with large participation from party members.

According to Oladejo, the successful conduct of the exercises demonstrates why the APC continues to maintain a dominant political presence in Lagos and across the country.

He said the party’s adoption of electronic membership registration and its orderly congresses reflect its focus on building systems and strengthening institutions rather than engaging in political disputes.

Oladejo noted that the congresses, which produced a new state executive committee, complied fully with the party’s constitutional guidelines and were conducted without major incidents.

He added that the newly elected leadership represents a strategic blend of experience and youthful energy, alongside deliberate gender balancing, which he said would help sustain and accelerate the party’s progress.

“The quality of members elected into the state executive reflects a combination of institutional memory and fresh perspectives required to move the party forward,” he said.

The APC spokesman also urged opposition parties to strengthen their internal structures, noting that discipline, cohesion, and organisation remain central to effective political leadership.

He maintained that the APC’s consistent electoral success in Lagos is a reflection of the trust reposed in the party by residents, who, according to him, continue to support a platform they consider stable and performance-driven.

Oladejo reaffirmed the party’s readiness for future political contests, stressing that the Lagos APC remains united and focused on consolidating its achievements.
