Lagos State Police Command Announces Physical, Credential Screening for 2025/2026 Police Constable Recruitment
The Lagos State Police Command has announced that the physical and credential screening exercise for applicants in the 2025/2026 recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force will commence on March 9, 2026, at the Police College Ikeja.
The Lagos State Police Command has disclosed that applicants who are indigenes of the state and successfully completed the online registration for the 2025/2026 recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as General Duty and Specialist Police Constables will undergo a physical and credential screening exercise beginning Monday, March 9, 2026.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, the exercise will run until April 18, 2026, and will be conducted daily from 7:00 a.m. at the Police College Ikeja.
The command advised all applicants to appear for the screening in a clean white T-shirt and white shorts while presenting required documents neatly arranged in two white flat files.
Mandatory documents to be presented include the invitation slip indicating the assigned table, the credential screening form, the original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by the National Identity Management Commission, O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, and local government or state of origin certificate.
Applicants applying under the specialist category are also required to present relevant trade test certificates. In addition, candidates must submit a duly completed and signed guarantor’s form with photocopies and passport photographs of referees attached.
The command further stated that both original and duplicate copies of the required credentials must be neatly packaged in separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached.
It warned that any candidate who fails to present the listed documents will not be considered for the screening exercise and urged applicants to strictly adhere to their scheduled dates and other guidelines.
The police also emphasized that the screening process is free of charge and will be conducted strictly on merit, in line with the highest standards of professionalism and transparency.
The command advised members of the public to report any individual or group demanding payment or gratification in connection with the recruitment exercise.
