Ojokoro APC Leaders Congratulate Ojelabi on Re-election, Dismiss Sanusi’s Claims as Misleading

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have congratulated the Lagos State Chairman of the party, Cornelius Ojelabi, on his re-election, while dismissing allegations by Mobolaji Sanusi regarding the political situation in the council as misleading and divisive.

Party stakeholders in Ojokoro LCDA have described the re-election of Cornelius Ojelabi as a reflection of the confidence party members across Lagos State have in his leadership, vision, and commitment to the continued growth of the party.

In a statement, the leaders commended Ojelabi’s role in strengthening the structure and unity of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos, noting that his leadership has contributed significantly to the stability and expansion of the party both within the state and nationally.

They also praised his dedication to promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his efforts in mobilising grassroots support for the President’s administration and future political ambitions.

According to the stakeholders, the Lagos chapter of the APC has remained strong under Ojelabi’s leadership due to what they described as his fairness, inclusive leadership style, and commitment to maintaining unity among party members.

The group, however, expressed concern over what it described as a “misleading and divisive” publication attributed to Mobolaji Sanusi concerning the political affairs of Ojokoro LCDA.

They maintained that Sanusi did not win the chairmanship primaries conducted by the party in the council, stressing that the current Executive Chairperson of Ojokoro LCDA, Rosiji Yemisi, emerged as the duly recognised winner of the primaries through a process they said reflected the will of party members.

The stakeholders also clarified that the list of Supervisory Councillors for the LCDA was finalised after extensive consultations with party leaders and key stakeholders in the area.

They emphasised that at no point did the state party leadership favour any faction within the council, insisting that the decisions taken were the outcome of collective agreement among leaders within the LCDA.

Reaffirming their loyalty to the party, the group declared that the APC in Ojokoro LCDA remains united and committed to sustaining peace and progress within the council.

They further urged Mobolaji Sanusi to refrain from making statements capable of creating division within the party, stressing that political engagement should be conducted with responsibility and respect for established party structures.

The stakeholders warned that any attempt to incite discord or destabilise the peace within the party would not be tolerated.

They concluded by congratulating Cornelius Ojelabi once again on his re-election and pledged their continued loyalty and support toward strengthening the APC in Lagos State and beyond.
