Arewa APC in Lagos-West II Rallies Support Ahead of 2027 Elections at Tanko’s Badagry Meeting

Leaders of the Arewa community within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos-West II have intensified grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections, following a strategic meeting held in Badagry Division.

The Arewa APC bloc in Badagry Division convened a high-level meeting at the residence of Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Tanko, aimed at strengthening the group’s political influence and consolidating support for the ruling party across communities.

The gathering brought together key stakeholders, including Alhaji Muhammed Buba, Chairman of Arewa APC in Ojo Local Government; Bala Musa Gwari, Chairman in Iba LCDA; Alhaji Isiyaka Lawan, Chairman in Amuwo-Odofin; and Aisha Yusuf, Arewa APC Women Leader in Ajeromi-Ifelodun, among others. The meeting was led by Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Tanko Auna, Apex Leader of Arewa APC in Lagos-West II, Badagry Division.

Addressing attendees, Tanko emphasized the critical role of the Arewa community in securing electoral victories for the APC, urging members to remain committed to the party’s agenda.

“The general election is our top priority, and we must ensure our kinsmen deliver at all fronts,” he said, stressing the need for intensified grassroots engagement.

He further highlighted the importance of promoting the “Renewed Hope Agenda” across communities, encouraging members to sustain advocacy efforts and maintain confidence in the party’s leadership.

Tanko also disclosed that the APC at the state level had given assurances of political opportunities for members in Badagry Division, urging continued loyalty and dedication.

Reinforcing this position, Alhaji Muhammed Buba noted that mobilization efforts were already underway in Ojo Local Government, with targeted awareness campaigns and welfare initiatives designed to galvanize support.

Similarly, Aisha Yusuf reported significant progress in women-focused outreach in Ajegunle, particularly in raising political awareness and participation among female constituents.

Other speakers at the meeting expressed optimism that the APC in Lagos State would secure victory in the 2027 general elections, citing ongoing mobilization and growing grassroots engagement as key drivers.
