Easter: CP Tijani Orders Massive Security Deployment Across Lagos, Assures Residents of Safety

The Lagos State Police Command has rolled out a comprehensive security arrangement ahead of the Easter celebrations, with the Commissioner of Police, Fatai Tijani, ordering the massive deployment of personnel and operational assets across strategic locations in the state.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, who noted that the Command has activated a proactive security architecture to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free celebration before, during, and after Easter.

According to the statement, security operatives have been strategically stationed at worship centres, recreational facilities, major highways, transportation hubs, and other critical infrastructure to guarantee maximum safety for residents and visitors.

The Command also disclosed that special attention has been given to riverine communities, with the Marine Police deployed to intensify patrols and surveillance across waterways to deter criminal activities.

In addition, the Police said it is working in collaboration with relevant agencies to implement effective traffic management measures aimed at ensuring the free flow of movement across Lagos throughout the festive period.

CP Tijani extended warm Easter greetings to Christian faithful, urging residents to embrace the values of love, sacrifice, and peaceful coexistence associated with the season. He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to the protection of lives and property while emphasizing the need for community cooperation in strengthening security.
