 JMG Industrial Upgrades Dangote Cement Gboko Plant with Advanced KAESER Air Compressor System

JMG Industrial, a division of JMG Limited, has successfully completed the installation and commissioning of advanced KAESER air compressor technology at the Gboko facility of Dangote Cement Plc in Benue State.

Dangote Cement, a subsidiary of Dangote Industries Limited, remains Africa’s leading cement producer, with a total production capacity of 52 million tonnes annually across 10 African countries, making it the largest cement manufacturer in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The upgrade followed a comprehensive system audit and airflow analysis at the Gboko plant, after which JMG Industrial deployed eight high-performance rotary lobe blower units from Kaeser Compressors, engineered for continuous heavy-duty industrial use.

According to project details, the newly installed system delivered a 23 per cent improvement in airflow efficiency, with peak airflow capacity rising by nearly 47 per cent compared to the previous configuration. The enhancements are expected to boost production stability, improve energy efficiency, and strengthen operational reliability at the facility.

Speaking on the development, Engineer Natu David said the upgraded system has significantly improved airflow stability across production lines, resulting in measurable gains in both efficiency and reliability.

He also commended JMG Industrial for its engineering expertise, noting that the company demonstrated strong technical capability from the initial system evaluation through to full project commissioning.
