LAGOS — The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has reinforced grassroots security operations in the state with the donation of 100 anti-riot kits and 1,000 pairs of operational boots to the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA), in a move aimed at enhancing community-based policing and emergency response capacity.

The equipment was formally presented on behalf of the Executive Secretary/CEO of LSSTF, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, by the Director of Administration, Mr. Adegbola Lewis, to the General Manager of the LNSA, Dr. Ifalade Oyekan, at the agency’s headquarters in Oshodi, Lagos.

According to LSSTF, the intervention underscores its continued commitment to strengthening security architecture across communities in Lagos State through sustained logistical and operational support to security agencies.

The Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency plays a key role in grassroots security enforcement by supporting the Nigeria Police Force through intelligence gathering, routine patrols, and community policing initiatives across all local government areas in the state. The agency is also responsible for maintaining public order, identifying suspicious activities, and promoting safety awareness among residents.

Officials noted that the donation is expected to improve the operational readiness of personnel, enhance mobility, and strengthen collaboration between community security structures and formal law enforcement agencies.

The LSSTF reiterated its commitment to continuous investment in security infrastructure as part of broader efforts to ensure safer communities and improved response to security challenges across Lagos State.
